wife said buy your own B'day present.
« Reply #-1 on: November 25, 2013, 05:57:05 PM »
got a b'day coming up towards the end of the week.  don't need anything.  I have a 22 WSM at the cabin and a few kettles.  at home I have a 18 WSM, little blackie and the UW.  don't need anything at home either.  I don't have a 14 WSM that just came out   ::).  could use that at the cabin for butts, chickens or what ever.  sometimes I feel guilty fired up the 22 WSM for just a butt or 1 rack of ribs (not really).  I have been thinking about getting a ATC for my WSM's.  why not.  it would make it easier (not that it's easy enough already).  I normally just set the WSM's to a certain vent setting and let them cook they way they want.  I like using my maverick for food and pit temp that I can carry around w/ me.  maybe a iq 110 or 120?  I do like the digiq dx2.  there nice.  maybe in blue (wife wants black to match the webers).  I have been thinking about a kamado but have talked to a few ppl who I admire when it comes to cooking w/ fire and decided maybe not for me at least for a while.  don't really need another 26 kettle.  maybe for a really long fuse burn.  could easily get over 12 hours burn w/ a 26.  lol......  what do ya need when you don't need anything?   :-\

Wish I could help you Sparky but I'm having the same problem!  :(   :-\

Not my birthday but SWMBO asked me what I want for our 41th Anniversary coming up and Christmas ... I don't need anything that I can think of ... Well, I could use a "MAK Mini" if and when they come out.  Is there a difference between want and need??  I think not  ;)

There's a man with a decision to be made and no where to go.

Ok...why don't you buy a Kitchen Aid heavy duty Pro 5 qt professional mixer on sale on Friday at Sam's Club. You can use it to make cookies, cakes, bread dough and pizza dough. Now that came out of left field and different that what you were thinking.

That sounds so good, I think that I will get one myself. My arthritis in my hands does not like mixing things by hand.

Happy Birthday!

Why not get started making your own sausages?  That way you get lots of gifts.  You know, grinders, stuffers, etc.  You've got some world class sausage on this forum to draw on.

I like Art's idea!                                                                                                                                                                                      I was going to mention, there must be a Weber Grill/smoker out there with the 49ers' logo on it, if not, commission some artist/body shop guy to do it.

I'm thinking something to make cooking even more enjoyable.    Love the fridge idea.  Put one in the kitchen.  Only problem is it needs more ft's. what about the little kettle to take with you ion the fishing outings.  Think I could see ya cooking up some sausage and eggs on the lake.

That is just crazy to need a refrigerator that has a heater in it ???

Sparky why not just get the ATC? It will work with all your cookers and regulate the temps when the wind is kicking up.
