My new electric slicer
« Reply #-1 on: December 17, 2013, 08:56:41 PM »

Wife ordered a slicer for me (kinda knew about it) that arrived yesterday. It's an MTN 10" electric slicer. Tried it out on a boneless ham and some prime rib leftovers. Got some great shaved, deli style meat. Very quiet, sharp, and included a sharpening attachment and extra drive belt. For the money it works great. Weight around 35 pounds and except for a piece of plastic shield on the tray and the knobs, almost everything else is metal.

I wish I had one at home but I have access to a commercial one at work so it's just a bit more effort to do slicing.

Nice score.  You don't realize how much you missed having a slicer until you get one.  The right tool for the right job...

That is a beauty. When I had to clean one of those bad boys in the coffee shop where I worked, I would check around 20 times to make sure that beast was unplugged before I started cleaning.

Oh, and it sure is shiny  8)
