« Reply #-1 on: January 05, 2014, 10:15:45 AM »
All this talk about Yorkshire pudding, and - I can't find a recipe here on LTBBQ for it! :D

You guys are killin' me! ;D I want to make this today - so who has a favorite recipe that they are willing to share - and put in our recipes section?

Thanks!

I have been trying to make a better Yorkshire for years and never produced what I would say would be acceptable. The last time I made Yorkshires they looked like this,

After advice of members then I bought a pop over pan and the was the difference,

Much better results. This is a mini pop over pan, they do make a larger. Some day down the road I will try it.

Here is the recipe I used,

Awesome CDN! Thanks! I am going to ask for the title on this thread to be changed, and - to move the thread to the recipes so we can all find it when needed.

Awesome CDN - this will get us started! Of course we welcome more info as you want to add…..

Just curious, the reference to the "Toad in a Hole"  - Is that where you put something in the muffin cups other than just the batter - sort of a "filling" ?  Ideas and suggestions ?

Nice! I suppose we could stuff 'em with anything that will hold up to the heat of the cook…This could be a fun food item to create some interesting varieties with CDN…..

And - Mike, thanks for the additional recipe info. Too much is never enough!

Just made my first batch ever…THIS is my new favorite "denier roll"….I substituted a garlic and rosemary infused olive oil instead of lard. What a great aroma and taste….

Down South we make "Toad In The Hole" that is simply a piece of bread with a hole torn in the middle, buttered and toasted in a frying pan then break an egg and pour it in the hole and let some spill out of of the hole and over the bread. Let it cook a few minutes then flip it and cook that side. I made some last weekend. It is about the quickest and easiest breakfast you can do if you are in a hurry.

I must admit I have never cooked Yorkshire Pudding and can only remember eating it on one of our trips to London.

No unicorn was harmed in the making of real Yorkshire pudding. :D However; My Samsung Galaxy Note 2 now refuses to communicate with my Macbook Pro. So - I can't upload photos from it to the computer, unless I go thru the P.I.A. process of e-mailing each one to my other e-mail acct, then open them on the computer - then send them to Photobucket….you get the picture…t(hat you didn't get in the thread... ;D)
