New dawg...yet again.
« Reply #-1 on: February 02, 2014, 06:02:51 PM »
After I said I wasn't sure about getting another....
Meet, "Guidry"- The Brown and White Sugar Mix

How is that for a Louisiana name?
We made it all of 2 months after we lost 'Boogie' before getting this one.  He was so scared when I visited that I had to sit on the floor to get him to warm up. He practically sat in my lap and was so sweet.  So, how could I leave him at the shelter?  My hubby had been there to visit and liked this one even though he was too scared to be petted.  He was scared to get in the car, scared to be on a leash, scared of everything.  He is almost cured of all that now.  He is still a little shy on a leash at times but much better now.

I adopted him even after I gave my hubby the lecture on why we shouldn't get another dog.  He was kinda set on this one so I surprised him with "Guidry."

That tail is no illusion.  It is long and thick like a cat's tail.

Aww... what a sweet face. I miss having a dog. If we ever get out of this townhouse I will have one for sure. We have two cats that think they are dogs, but I miss the real thing.

Thanks, all :). Guidry is a high energy lunatic but super sweet.

We are rescue people. We had 1 from a breeder, 2 give-aways and our 3 current shelter dawgs.
I believe in supporting the shelter. There are lots of good dogs that need a home.

I wish I could have a cat as well but hubby is allergic and the 2 big dogs wouldn't tolerate it.
