Some wives just don't understand

While in Costco today, I stopped and looked at pellet cooker on display $499.00).   My wife said, "surely you don't need a other grill".  She just doesn't understand that I don't have as many toys as some of you guys.

That's the only time I am safe is when I look at poopers since my wife knows I'll never buy one.  Normally she just asks me not to harass the Traeger guy at the kiosk in the mall.  I get board and like to listen to his sales pitch about how it will taste just like a stick burner.

A pellet grill is a good solid investment. Advise her that all the tasty food will save you money by eating at home instead of ordering out.

Or just lie and tell her you won it with only one ticket in a $499 a ticket raffle

The list of things that wives don't understand is endless. I have come to understand one thing though, the cost of a new grill is not nearly as high as the cost of a divorce lawyer. You have to weigh one against the other.

We don't question each other about what we spend but that doesn't mean that sometimes she doesn't think that I'm nuts.

My bride (51+ yrs) never says a word--all it takes is "that look."  Quickly move on to something else!

Mine asked me the other night what I was going to do with the BEESR now that I got the WSM.

I looked at her like "you gotta ask", she said that she thought the WSM was a replacement for the BEESR and that I would be getting rid of the BEESR.

I was ROTFLMFAO, I thought she was trying to be a comedian.....until I got "the look" that's when I knew she was serious, so we had to have "the talk" about men and their toys.

She didn't exactly agree with me but I think she realized that the BEESR stays along with the WSM and the other outdoor cooking devices I have.

All hell is going to break loose when the next UPS or FEDEX truck drops off another package at our door.

last new cooker I got I ended up getting "that look" but then I told her I named it after her, and things went smoothly. So all my new cookers will be named "Debbie".

Mine thought I was crazy for getting mine.  Now says it was the best thing we have purchased ever. Now got a couple work buddies transfered I over and living them.  They even recruited a few.

Haven't gone through it myself but had a friend at work who went through a messy divorce. When he came back to work and we asked how it went he said "man that woman took everything I had, she didn't even leave me no eye water to cry with". I told him that would make a great country song.
