Can't get to my Smoke Deck
« Reply #-1 on: February 20, 2014, 09:46:47 AM »
It has been trying to get warm and thaw here in Ohio the last 3 days. Raining now and suppose to get to 57 deg. I would like to get out and use my smoker but the 3 or 4 steps to my Smoke Deck is covered with an inch of ice slick as glass! I thought of all kinds of things to make it safe but guess I will just wait and cook inside. It will make me use frozen leftovers.

Man! - you would need skates and a too-too to brave that ice Don! Be careful. Spring is coming.

muebe the only thing salt does on 1 inch thick ice is make a lot of holes in it and it is still slick! Don

Had to use my snowblower on my deck to get to the smoking shack this morning. Walked it up backwards four steps to the deck. With blowing snow it was over two feet deep. My back just can't handle that much snow any more. So I brought in the big gun and cleared most of it off. At least I can get to the smokers If I need to  ;D

We didn't have near the snow you did! This is the third day above freezing and it's melted enough I can see grass now. Su. back to colder weather but I plan on cooking out. Don
