So we wanted pizza
« Reply #-1 on: May 07, 2014, 06:29:56 PM »
Since its actually 50°F and  the sun was shining I pulled out the Uuni wood fired pizza oven. Not California weather but its not 40 below either  :D
I been thinking about fast crusts for a fast lunch or snack. So I thought why not try a soft tortilla shell. These things are almost 10 inches in dia. so its a perfect size for the Uuni.

One without mushrooms for my son, he don't like mushrooms. I didn't when I was a kid but grew out of that later on in life.

The other one is mine...mushrooms  ;)

All that is left of my sons

And mine waiting to be cut up

All in all the soft tortilla shell worked very well. They are very thin so you have to be careful with them. They didn't burn on the bottom, just browned up nicely.

Looks great. Hated mushrooms as a kid. Love them now.

What it comes down to these days is what you can afford. The high cost of meat, the high cost of gas to get there to buy meat. The high cost of electricity/propane/wood to cook your meals. The world is all screwed up and its not going to get any better  :'(
