a Canadian friend on another smoker forum recently posted that he had $30 bucks worth of Williams Sonoma gift cards that he received in his long cloche order but that he couldn't use them in Canada and he would send them to anyone in the states that wanted them. This weekend I was able to get up to the closest WS store in Dallas and I found this round cloche listed for $60 and I got one for $32 bucks with the gift cards.

And the first loaf of easy crusty bread, I needed to cut the top a bit deeper to get a better split but the bread turned out great, I think the taller dome must allow for a better steam bake because the crust was amazingly crusty without being tough like it can sometimes be in the long cloche or my cast iron Dutch oven. I had a fairly round loaf going as it was waiting to go in but I let it get a little oval shaped as I put it in the hot cloche.
