Father's Day pork loin
« Reply #-1 on: June 15, 2014, 03:04:08 PM »
Both my kids, my grandkids, and son-in-law were here today.  I cooked a pork loin on the TBE using a handful of cherry pellets.  It was served with some of my wife's home made apple sauce (for granddaughter), mashed potatoes (for grandson), corn that we froze last year, fresh string beans, and a sweet potato casserole.  My wife also made a banana pudding.  I'm stuffed....my dinner needed tonight.

Nylic, how long did you cook the loin?  I've been wanting to try one, just not sure how it would turn out.  Want to do a beef loin as well.

Looks great, very juicy

Looks great, very juicy

It weighed 4 1/2 lbs and I cooked it to 165*. My folks don't  get excited about pinkish pork.  Otherwise would have pulled it about 145 to 150.   I patted it dry with paper towels, rubbed with olive oil, then added salt and pepper.   It was very juicy.  It cooked for 58 minutes.
