Title: Pepper Stout Beef
Post by: Kona on April 09, 2019, 07:44:51 AM
Haven't cooked this in a while, it's by far one of my all time favorite things to make. I used the Boar's Head Pepperhouse Gourmaise and Horseradish on one sandwich and some blue cheese on the other. I used the leftovers last night on a baked potato which was outstanding!

My mouth is watering. That looks so good.
Would you mind posting how long your cook was & at what temp
you started braising it at? I'm almost drooling looking at the pics!

It was about a 4lb chuck roast and took about 3 hours to hit 165 on the barrel. I moved it to the oven @ 350 degrees. At 2.5 hours I checked the tenderness. It took another 30 minutes of braising to get it to pull completely. It was then uncovered and back in the oven till the liquid reduced by half, mixing occasionally.

WOW! That looks de-freakin'-licious!! All of it! I need to make PSB soon, it's been a while. One thing I like to do with the leftovers is make PSB pizza, it's gooooood :)

That looks really good!!!!. I always have Guinness draught on hand. It’s the only beer I drink. I’m gonna have to try it with that.
