Hobart model 1612 slicer. Built like a tank and weighs like one as well. Needing a lot of cleanup and lubrication, but motor works, blade doesn't wobble and it came with the sharpening attachment. Best part I paid $150 for it.

I used a large Hobert for years in the 70's when I was fry-cooking. They are built like a tank. You scored big-time 8) 8)

Rexter we have that exact same model at the shop and use it daily. We bought it used 20 some plus years ago used. Never had a problem with it. Great score!

Nice. I got mine from a yard sale 2 years ago and paid about the same as you. I know what you mean about weighing as much as a tank. Took two of us to get it down stairs :o

Update on the slicer: I was looking at all the aluminum on this thing and remembered polishing pieces of aluminum on my old Triumph motorcycle years ago. So I broke out the wet sandpaper, jeweler's rouge and went to work on the gauge plate, carriage and rear blade guard. What do you guys think?
