Title: The New Bradley Grill
Post by: Tenpoint5 on July 31, 2012, 10:19:42 AM
As everyone might have noticed we put one of the New Bradley Grills together at the MidWest Smoke Out. I Just wanted to share some pictures with everyone as I walked around it and "Kicked the Tires on it" and Take it for a test ride. Lets start off with some pictures of the grill.

The Grill

Inside the grill there are 3 30,000 Btu/hr Main burners on the left and center that look like this

The Main burners have a stainless steel radiated flame tamer

There is also a 12,000 Btu/hr Searing burner on the right

These burners are all covered by Cast Iron cooking grates.

On the left side is a storage shelf with four hooks to hang your tools on.

On the right side there is a 13,000 Btu/hr burner for sauces or beans.

Underneath is the storage area for the Tank

(http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd237/tenpoint5/072912184416.jpg) (http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd237/tenpoint5/072912184404.jpg)

The grill has a Stainless Steel front and all of the burners have electronic ignition.

(http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd237/tenpoint5/072912184336.jpg) (http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd237/tenpoint5/072912184345.jpg)

Last night I seasoned the Cast Iron grates with some cooking spray and turned all 4 burners on low.

The grill warmed up and held a rock solid temp of 600 degrees for half an hour. This was taken as it was warming up.

I think I will take her for a test run at lunch time, with some burgers today.

Yes it was a gift for me to kick the tires on and take for a test ride around the block.

I use my 3 burner gas grill a lot.
In nice weather I use as a finishing oven to finish briskets & buttsnafter foiling.
I use to cook sides on, beans, veggies etc.
In bad weather I use to cook a quik burger, steak or chop a lot.
If you think of it as complementary to your other cookers , not your main cooker you'll appreciate it more.

Yesterday for lunch the kids told me they wanted some POCB's So I said sure here we go

Season with a little Salt Pepper and Garlic

fire up the 2 middle burners and set to medium

wait for the grill to warm up to

flop the burgers on frozen and start cooking and flipping

add cheese and a bun

tada you have POCB

Now for Supper Momma says she wants poke chops. 10.5 1/4 and I said we want ribeye steaks.

I got this idea that I wanted to add a little smoke to my steaks. Simple enough get lid off mason jar. Place puck in lid and set between the burners.

Fire up the grill and see what happens. Smoke is what happens!!

(http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd237/tenpoint5/073112181649.jpg) (http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd237/tenpoint5/073112183515.jpg)

Albeit the puck burst into flames about 5 minutes into this ordeal when I opened the lid. A little beer took care of that. I will keep trying to find the right placement of the pucks to get good smoke in the grill. Thinking next try the puck will be in the same place just wrapped in foil with a couple holes in it.

Since it is a new grill I got out my new pigtail food flipper I got from Ghost9mm

And it is time to bring it all in

I didn't even need the searing burner for these

Got it all plated up couldn't wait I had to start eating. I did remember to snap a quick shot though. Added some cucumbers, a Baked Tater, and some Hickory Smoked Pepper Jack Cheese.

So far I am really impressed with the grill. It will take some getting used to as it does get hot and in a hurry.

Instead of using up your pucks, have you tried the AMAZN tube smoker with your pellets?  This might be a better answer to getting some smoke into your new toy.

I'm not a huge fan of gas grills, but MAN OH MAN... That is one nice grill!

I really like the stainless parts & that 12,000 BTU searing burner is killer!
