I ordered a leg kit for Ole Red. I have the original ash catcher stashed away.
A member on the bullet site makes reproduction wood handles and they are sweet and very inexpensive.
Got her a cover.
This kettle will never be abused again!!

Found out one thing d-Holley.....there are not too many shades of red when it comes to high heat paint.... :-X

I can relate to this very much. I have an old Weber 22" that's at least 14 years old. It's like an old friend and I just couldn't bring my self to throw it away and ended up re-outfitting the old boy with new handles, grates, one-touch cleaning system (vents), the works.
