Just had to try it. The visions and thoughts of a 200 degree internal temp Tri-Tip has dominated my thoughts and deep internal fears of having a wonderfully smoked speed bump!!
Gonna give her a whirl.........right now!!
Tri on the left was rubbed with Olive Nation Western Frontier Rub and the other was rubbed with Garlic Garni and Marshalls Creek Pot Roast Rub.
Using the Chicken Cooker cause my little bro is gone for a couple of weekends so we kept the Cooker at my place(http://i1213.photobucket.com/albums/cc469/s1cott11/icon_biggrin.gif) Cooker is running around 230 and tossed on an Apple mini-split for smokey goodness!!!!

Pulled the tri's at 205 internal. The Chicken Cooker is a darn good smoker..ran for 240 for -6- hours on about 5 lbs of Kingsford!! Great smoker I tell ya!! Foil wrapped for -2- hours. Sliced like butter!! The center of the roasts could've been pulled!!
Muebe.....Thank You!! :-* :) (http://i1213.photobucket.com/albums/cc469/s1cott11/prost.gif) Kinda makes ya wonder if a rump roast would come out good done this way........... ::)
Outrageous (http://i1213.photobucket.com/albums/cc469/s1cott11/eat.gif)

Told you ;)
They look great!
-
wow, that turned out great. nice job on the tri's. is your chicken cooker like a drum? kinda looks that same.
-
It is a spin-off of a drum. It comes apart in -3- sections. It cooks like a drum with the exception that you have to add a handful of coals every hour. Temperature control is very good for a pit at this price.
