Found a Weber Genesis on Craigslist. Not sure how old it is, but once I see a sale on grill grates I'm going to get myself a set for it. Also need a grill cover. Works great and it is pretty darn clean. Had a craving for fish so I got some grouper and grilled it up with garlic, sea salt, pepper, and some fresh lemon. Side of grilled tomato, and sauteed spinach with garlic. Just needed a side of grilled bread and my meal would have been complete.

Hey nice find and great looking plate for sure! I love grouper!
-
Nice looking plate. Congrats on the new grill.

I had mine for 13 years or so. If the fire box is good everything else can be replaced. Sold mine on CL when I got bit by the charcoal bug.

I still love the charcoal and have a Jumbo Joe, but the gasser is nice for nights that I have to work early the next morning and don't want to wait for the charcoals to get going.

Nice score and the plate of food looks great!

Great score on the Weber. I had to use my Camp Chef gas grill last night......wanted something grilled and could not wait for 20 minutes for the charcoal to get ready....

Great find. The plate looks excellent - haven't had grouper since I lived in Hawaii - loved it. Yours looks delicious.

This looks a lot like mine -- about six or seven years old. A very handy size for quickly brewing up burgers and dogs and for keeping things warm when I'm doing a big cook. By all means get some GrillGrates for it. You'll be amazed at the difference they make.

Nice grill AK!!! I had one just like it for years, as far as I know my son-in-law is still using it. I got new burners, flavor bars and a new grates when I gave it to him and was like a new grill! Don

I have one just like it except it's black. I paid $30 and mine didn't look near was good as yours. Mine is a 2002 and after a refurb looks almost new. It is without a doubt the best gas grill I have ever owned.I am a charcoal guy,but love this grill for quick cooks. Yours looks great and looks like it cooks fine. Like Hub says, get some GrillGrates .

I think that's a great grill. Nice find partner.

Woo-Hoo
I've just bought my 7th Webber gas grill to rehab from Craig's list!
The old ones cook great!
The cast iron grayes that come with the Genesis are really good!
Not trying to talk you out of grill grates if they need replacing but if not try the ones on the grill

I've been digging around on CL for one since LA started posting his. Just doesn't seem to be many around down here. The couple I saw were way too pricey...
Maybe the salt air eats them up down here.
My CB Red is about done now. Looking at a couple hundred $ + to fix it and I would much rather rework an old timer for that.
My brother in Law let a very old Dukane in excellent condition go without telling me when they moved down here.Hated that...
It had awesome flat stainless grates on it.
Not the crap stainless they are selling now either. It was 10+ years old and not a spot on it.

Nothing wrong with a gasser. All of them have their strengths and weaknesses and all of them uses.
