Title: Photo help please
Post by: tomcrete1 on November 23, 2015, 06:18:23 AM
Ok, have been trying to post photos for a while and I can't figure it out.  I'm able to get them into the attachment section from my photos on the iPad but that's were I get stuck. How do I get them into the content and then write below them.  Would save me some time instead of making a video every time I want to post. Thanks for all your help and patience my computer skills are not so good. Tried that photo bucket thing but it just wants to sell me hard copies of my photos? Ugh!  :'(

Agreed that Photobucket advertising (and popups) are a drag, but it is definitely the easiest way to paste embedded images so that you can type around them.  When you have a photo open in Photobucket, there is a link in the "share this photo" section labeled IMG.  If you click that box, it will copy the link to your clipboard and you can paste it into your message.

Ok, I would like to do that but I cant even find share this photo section,  Are there different photo buckets apps?  Maybe I downloaded the wrong one.

Not sure on the iPad.  There is probably a menu option or something to share.  On the PC version, it is a full section of the screen.

The ipad photobucket app is horrible to use. Log into your photobucket account online using Safari and follow the guide.

Ok,  still didn't answer the question, underneath this box there is a "attachments and other options",  I have been able to get pictures "singular " into the attachment how do I get those pictures that are in "attachments and other options "in the body of the message?  The video thing is really easy and I thank all of you for the great advice.  I thank and appreciate all of your efforts  :)

Tom - let me make sure I understand where the picture you want to place in a thread resides first. Is it on your iPad - or is it located on Photobucket?

The posting process is different for photos that are hosted off your computer ( like on Photobucket) vs those that reside on your computer. And - tho I use a Macbook Pro predominantly - I am not familiar with the iPad enough to walk you thru that process. But - I ascertain we have folks here that are - and they will come along and help get you up to speed on that.

Still no luck, have managed to get pics into the bucket,, but copy and paste doesn't yield any positive results.  Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks in http://i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah161/tomcrete1/th_image_zpsijkvlumk.jpeg

Just an example of copy and paste that doesn't work

Did you click help on the bottom of PB? Then go to mobile and it says to use the iPhone app on your iPad. They have instructions there.

Tom, here is your picture. When you see your photo on photobucket there is a box with 4 items on the right hand side. You want the
box that shows IMG. Just click it and it will automatically copy. Then come here and hit paste.  Try to put the photo on its own line.

Hope this helps.  Now I did this with my PC and I don't own an Ipad so don't know if it is any different.

Mike

It works Tom. You need to copy and paste the image link...
