Seasoning my cast iron today. Wiped down with canola oil using a cloth diaper and baking in oven at 350. After 60 minutes, tun oven off, leave closes and let everything gradually cool down.

BTW - is this something you do on a regular basis? I normally hope that regular use keeps my CI and DeBuyer pans in good shape and only do the extra seasoning if I had to do some aggressive cleaning. Do you see a benefit from interim seasoning?

Mine had been neglected for the past year, so what I am doing is rather special. Due to a glass cook top, I don't use my pans often enough to keep them in tip top shape. Regular use is truly the best.

Don't be afraid to use your cast iron in your pellet grill. Baked beans...casserole...cornbread...anything you would do in the oven short of broiling.
