Post by: Savannahsmoker on June 16, 2016, 12:50:03 PM
Now I have to learn from forum members what and the best way to cook in it.

It is the Cook-Air Tabletop Grill that some forum members have.
Runs on Wood Chunks.

Must be made in China because first up the power supply does not work and I have to run it on batteries.

Mine works fine with the 110 adapter. I guess I should check it with the 12v adapter and with batteries.

Well that stinks.   Cabela's will get you one that works just fine.

Grill a steak using batteries which seems to be lacking in fan power.
I was not impressed so here are the results of my Cook-Air experience.

Refund

The first 5 cooks I did on battery power for testing/review and had no problems. Then I moved over to the a/c adapter and no issues. The only problem I had was the switch was reversed. Battery was a/c power and a/c power was battery. But I can live with that.

Sorry everyone is having troubles.

Maybe these units are deeply discounted for a reason....

My first power up on AC work fine and the fan really basted.
Next AC stop working.
Fire up on batteries and all was fine for about 5 minutes than the fan speed slow down.
So I think I received a bad unit and it is on the way back to Cabela's.

As we all knows "It Happens".

So far so good here. I have no illusions about this unit living as long as a Weber or even my Rec Tec, but it sure shines for ultra hot sears!

Yes it does happen. Sorry to hear.

I have found down here in FL that i have to keep my weapons in a silicone impregnated gun sock inside my cases with s small sack of moisture absorb in the inside.
