Title: Masterbuilt electric smoker HELP
Post by: Pam Gould on February 13, 2017, 01:26:07 PM
Hey..I got the small tabletop Masterbuilt electric smoker recently, burned it off and noticed not a lot of smoke..anyone know if I can start some charcoal and put a amaz'n smoker with chips in it on top of the charcoal? That way I get flavor and smoke at the same time and it's easy to add more chips..Ideas please?   .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

You should be able to put a small Amazen in the bottom of it - and - you could cold smoke before you cook ....

I don't think either charcoal or an A-Maze-N tube would work in that one, Pam.  I doubt there's enough air circulation.  The door seals tightly those models, and leaving the door propped open to let air in would also let all the smoke out.

Neighbor had the same problem and as TentHunteR said they is not enough air for the Amazen tube.
We drill a hole in the side, slide in a small copper tube hooked to a small fish tank pump with adjustable air flow to provide air to the Amazen tube.

Not a great plan but a workable plan.

Thinking the Smoke Daddy might be to much smoke but I say go for it and if it does not work you can pick up a plug at home depot or lowes and plug it. :)
