Title: Gravity Series 1050
Post by: BCG on July 12, 2020, 10:53:00 AM
Good morning all,

Joined this forum last year to see what everyone was doing with their Charbroil SRGs and loved the interaction and helpful tips from everyone.

Now, I’ve got my Masterbuilt Gravity Series 1050 on the way. Any of you guys got the 1050 yet? Or the 560 for that matter? I’ve been watching a few videos, but it’s always nice to actually talk to people and find out if there are any tips/tricks I should be aware of?

You'll soon get a response. I've seen several posts lately about the 560 and the 1050.

I have the 560. There are a couple of good groups on Facebook. Also, before I assembled mine I watched a couple of videos. Then I picked the best one and played it while I assembled, pausing at each step. It helped a lot.

Bought a 560 back in January, found out it was a little too small for us, and got the 1050 the end of April. For the money, the design is the best thing going. Grill at a high heat, sure can. Smoke low and slow, sure can. Several quirks about the grills however. The firebox might burn out very quickly, or it might last for a year. Firebox on the 1050 burned through on one side within a month. There are some mods that are very beneficial for cooking, check them out on the number of Facebook groups if you are on Facebook. You might be one of the owners that have to fool with the controller to get a wi-fi connection, but there's solutions to most of those problems
