Due to the efforts of of Carolyn Rodi ( she is doing marketing, branding and some publicist work for us )I was contacted about "green grilling" - and it looks like this article will be published in a number of papers. I wanted to try and promote the forum, and we got it mentioned in the article!

Thanks folks!
It is my intent to continue promotion of LTBBQ - because of YOU.
What a great bunch of forum users we have! Truly a group of really nice people - with no attitudes to deal with. It is my philosophy at the very top right of your page when you are on this forum, and - it is a heartfelt one.

That is WAY COOL!!!!

Great!!

And it is in the San Diego paper too! This time with a clickable LTBBQ link in the on-line article!

***CORRECTED LINK***
THe link to LTBBQ is on the next to the last line in the first page
-
NICE!! but I don't see the link :o
-
Almost all of the way down in the article ( next to the last line in the first page ) you will see where the author was asking me the about some stuff. In that area where my name is mentioned you will see www.letstalkbbq.com. If you put your cursor on our web address it should change color to indicate it is a clickable link.

Tim, I think it's great what you are doing and I think it will pay off. However, I think the rest of the article was hog wash and leftist propaganda. The whole man made global warming is a hoax. One big fire in the west will put more carbon in the air than all the grills in the country. It's not about clean air...it's about power over us by the "elite" who know more about what's better for us than we do just because they work for the government. Dee

We have a lot of people that have different viewpoints from each of us - and everybody - regardless of their political/ecological viewpoint - likes to cook outdoors. As I am a native Texan - I think you know that my personal feelings are very centered around personal freedom, not oversight.
When you are interviewed by a journalist, you do not ever know exactly what part(s) of what you said will be published - nor do you have control of how the entire piece will be slanted.
But - I will take it as a positive that we are getting exposure. That will not be the only time you see LTBBQ in print. I have done 3 additional interviews with various publications. Not sure if or when we will see them. Just takes time......

T, You did exactly as you should have and as I would have done if I had been in your situation. I think you should continue to do that every where and every chance you can. I know everyone does not agree with me but I just could not let it go by without my opinion. If some had their way grilling would be banded as it is in some parts of CA. Dee
-
Thanks Dee! Perhaps my time spent in "logistics analysis" and "indigenous relations" are actually paying off...finally ;)
Heck Dee - we can't allow anybody to ban you or your cookin'....especially since you have the secret weapon....BRUNSWICK STEW!!!! ;D ;D ;D
-
I think the ban in California is apartment balcony restrictions for charcoal grills. In some buildings they have to be electric only. I think the main ban is going to be against charcoal lighter fluid.........
-
No - smoke I think the State of California BANNED DEE...... :o ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Dee is welcome anytime!! 8)

I was stationed at the Presidio of San Francisco '71-'73. Such a beautiful place. So much to do. Dee

And...it is continuing to get some play!
