Title: Searing Grill
Post by: hikerman on June 09, 2014, 06:11:55 PM
Saw this today in my latest Hammacher-Schlemmer catalog. An infrared searing grill that reaches temps of up to 1400F while delivering 21000 BTU's. Thought this might be the answer on how to give you sous vide chefs a perfect sear on your meats without drying out your final product.

Looks interesting Gene. I wonder if you could do pizza in it with that high temp. I haven't tried
pizza on any of my "toys" yet so am curious.

It's like an EZ-Bake for adults.

Now that is pretty slick!!  I better not bring this to wife's attention.  I am lobbying for the new Uuni 2 pizza oven for my birthday.

This would be a really nice addition to Tee's deck, however.  He always has room for one more cooking appliance on his deck.

Yep, that sure looks like the answer to searing after SV.  ;)
