Impressive.

I'm still struggling with my Old Smokey. :(  Burned the crap out of some chicken today.

Done Chicken direct and indirect. All good. How much charcoal are you using?
I used a full chimney. Dumped the lit coals into a couple of charcoal baskets to form a circle in the middle. After reading another reply I think I put the chicken on before the coals were ready. I was in a hurry because I had planned on cooking the chicken on my pellet grill but a few minutes after I started it up a heard a loud fizzing sound and the whole thing went dead :(. So i had to scramble because I had family over for dinner and didn't want to keep them waiting too long. I know it was all my fault and not the old smokey. I'm sure I hope I will do better when I plan to do a charcoal cook from the start instead of improvising at the last minute.
