Pork Chops and sides
« Reply #-1 on: August 21, 2014, 01:03:59 AM »
Found some nice thick 1" center cut chops...vacuum sealed them with butter and FS&B.

Into the SV bath for a 90 minute ride at 140F.

Seared the chops on the WSJ with GrillGrates.

Corn on the cob was coated with a butter mix with Way Out West and additional WOW was sprinkled over the buttered corn.  Wrapped the husk around the corn and foil around it and placed on the WSJ for ~45 minutes, rotating about every 7-8 minutes.

The unicorn sweet potatoes were nuked in the microwave but the real treat to them was the butter mixed with Super Pig to go with them.

Mrs. LVC could not get over the flavor of the corn with the WOW seasoning mixed with the butter and the Super Pig butter combination on the sweet potatoes was to die for.

Sous Vide chops are just so good!

It is nice to be able to sear a chop and not worry if your going to undercook it. Just give them a quick sear and your done.

Love the idea on the corn too!

Yes he did, Mrs. LVC let a few scraps fall out of the plate for him to enjoy.  I think he was locked onto another pooch over at the next campsite.

Looks really good.  Corn has been so good this year.  Sous vide the chops and then onto the Uuni 2.  Yet another possibility.
