Duh, forgot I got the pics in photobucket ::)

I am gonna have to make a charcoal ring to have coals in when hanging chickens. This way the drippings will avoid the coal and I won't get a mini grease flareup during the cook. I should have hung the hooks more towards the sides of the cooker as well. Chicken was a little too crispy for my liking but the ring should take care of that. However the breast meat was moist and good...just couldn't eat the drummies!!  :-[

After using this for the last 4 days I am very impressed with this inexpensive cooker. It is easy to clean, fun to use and it is a better smoker than I thought it would be.

This cooker has been Smokeasaurus tested and Smoochy approved!!

It has a water pan that sits in the middle section for smoking which acts as a heat deflector. One of the probs is that the chicken hangs down very close to the charcoal. That is why I am thinking if the coals are contained in the middle of the charcoal grate and the chickens are hung closer to the sides of the barrel, the chicken will cook nicely and will not get the intense heat from sitting directly over the coals. If the cooker was a little taller this might not be an issue..............
