smoked burgers on the WSM 14.5
« Reply #-1 on: May 17, 2015, 02:41:55 PM »
I've never smoked burgers before so I wanted to experiment and figure out how it would work for a crowd. I can load a smoker with burgers and all be done at the same time.

Experiment, oak wood smoked burgers. Notice my charcoal chamber is almost empty. That's coz I'm using 80% wood and a little briquettes as a base. Like a stick burner.

Took an hour at 250 to reach IT 145

This will come in handy for a crowd this summer.

Fantastic results

I love smoked burgers. I like to get the 70/30 (cheaper and more flavor). No flare ups and a burger with a smoke ring.

Yours look darn proper  8)

I didn't miss the sear, and the family approved.
There's always that dilemma of timing with burgers. When to make the fries so that everything is served hot. This solved that.
