More SV Salmon
« Reply #-1 on: June 24, 2015, 09:48:04 PM »
After hearing about David's sv salmon (unicorn) lol, and seeing Mike's, we were both jonesing for salmon here!
Our local Kroger's had some nice looking sockeye recently, so I got enough for 4 nice 8 oz fillets. I vac. sealed them with a pat of butter and fresh dill. Tonight took two out of the freezer and threw them into the tub at 110F for 35 minutes. When done they were slid into a hot ci pan with a bit of clarrified butter for a minute and a half per side and dinner was ready! Rice and a fresh garden salad rounded out the meal. The salmon was perfect!

Gene,
That looks great.  There are several salmon recipes that I want to try.  I want to smoke some salmon so I can have it two ways, on a bagel with some schmear, and make some salmon tartare.  I may have to go to the store and see about some salmon today.

Thanks for posting.
