Warming Rack
« Reply #-1 on: July 09, 2015, 06:26:49 PM »
I often use my gas grill to finish what I'm smoking on my offset.
I'll smoke for about 6 hours , put in a large disposable aluminum pan & finish till desired temp.
Helps keep the use of the offset fun instead of an ordeal!
My old gasser had a large warming rack & a large pan worked fine.
Well my new (to me) Genesis the warming rack only holds the large pan precariously  ???
Couldn't live with that so into the junk room , found  an old rack, trimmed it to fit & temporarily attached with bailing wire.
Woo-Hoo ;D
A large pan is stable now 8)

Way to re-purpose!!  Good thinking.  And, yet another reason to never throw away anything.  You never know when you might need it or a part of it.

I saw two New Branufels off-set smokers set off to the side of a market out by Cedar Glen today. I went over to check them out. They were not 1/4 inch thick like the old ones but they were pretty stout. I think the market grills stuff on the weekends and sells the grub.

Sure would hate to see one come up missing.................... ::)
