Looks like a solid pit to me. The welds look great except for on the bottom ones under the pit.

Nice size casters and slide out grates.

The $900 price seems reasonable for what your getting.

It's actually $700 from a store called Buc-EE's. One of the best gas stations on the face of......Texas. LOL

I'm just looking for a reasonable stick burner to play with logs. Quality is still priority but I just can't justify the shipping cost of a Lang Pit. $700 for a $1,000 pit!!!

If I am looking at the correct model....run......and run away fast.   The fire-box is almost the same size as the smoker chamber. If you factor in the blistering heat that will be in the first section of the smoker box, you are not going to have much room for grub.......and fire management might not be to easy.

Way better off-sets out there.

Have you checked out The Open Range review over in Product Reviews...for a bit more coin you have an off-set that you will love........

Yes I have and all the better cookers have one major drawback, shipping cost. But I'm 99% settled on the Karubecue. I can pick it up myself, 30 minutes away.
The karubecue drawback is it needs electricity to run the fan and I have to kneel to get to the meat.

I'm wondering how much it would cost to ship my Pecos offset out there to you in Texas.

If I can sell it, I can see an Assassin Grill in my future.

just sayin'...

That would probably cost about $300 BUT I'm done with cookers. I'm set and if I happen to get an itch....I'll get another Karubecue. LOL
