Turkey on the gas grill
« Reply #-1 on: November 26, 2015, 05:47:59 PM »
 Cooked a turkey on a weber Q220
Only cooker I had access to.
Injected turkey and rub the outside with a mixture of 1 pound butter 2 tablespoons Tony's and 1 tablespoon liquid smoke.
Cooked at 400° for approximately 2 1/2 hours to the internal temperature reaches 162
Better than expected maybe not as good as they SRG with Tommy rain cook but it really was pretty good

And he says "the Q220 was the only cooker I had access to" - as if that was some sort of handy cap for him.  Doesn't look like it to me.

Great looking bird.

So true! That pretty bird is just proof you don't need a fancy cooker to make good food.

Beautiful color, and that is pretty amazing looking coming from a gasser.  Not many people could pull that off.
