Everybody, thanks for your concern. Yes, I am high and dry. I am close to a bayou, but my neighborhood has never flooded. We had about 15 inches of rain, but some parts of Houston got over 20 inches with big problems. It didn't rain today, but all the creeks and bayous are still rising with the runoff. I wouldn't advise anybody outside the state to buy a used car for about 6 months because there were a lot of cars underwater. On the news it was mentioned that there might be as many as 20,000 cars underwater. I did notice that the traffic was kind of light today.
You might want to have a "Plan B" for the weekend. No telling how well he'll survive Thursday night in NOLA with me and LA.
Turtle, I don't know what you are talking about. You said all we were going to do was have a little prayer meeting and then some meditation.
Don't keep him up all night. He has to be here in middle GA by noon.
Let's see... It's about 7½ hours from Chuck's Sports Bar (open "damn near 24 hours" and directly across the street from Lucky Dog World Headquarters) to Warner Robins. That means he has to be on the road by 4:30AM to meet your noon deadline. No problem - I can't see LA or me staying out much later than 3:30 since we have to get some sleep and be at the Seahorse for a pre-Fest Bloody Mary at 10. He should be to your place with about an hour to spare.
Assuming he is condition to drive. He can stop here in Birmingham to sober up or have another shot.
Thanks, Ken. You are a true friend.

B T W, he told me he didn't have any high-water issues in his part of Houston.
Jaxon, come hell or high water, I'll be there.
