« Reply #-1 on: November 26, 2012, 07:18:09 PM »
wanted to see if i could cook the chicken just as good as last time.  it was thanksgiving and my wife and daughters wouldn't let me in the kitchen.  i'm hungry.  mrs sparky: you got 4 grills out there.  go feed yourself.  its thanksgiving and were not eating until 5 pm.  damn, its only 10 am.  i got this.

found noah video on cutting up a chicken.  lets give it a whirl.

done.

oh this looks good.

go 49ers.

see what happens when you drink to much on the holidays.  the dogs suffers.

thank for looking.  oh, the chicken was so juicy and tender.  the Pit Barrel Cooker is the real deal.  works and cooks fantastic.  everyone should get one.

I'll ask a dumb question, cuz that's what I do. Do you check temps on the meat during the cook, or is this a strict time/temp thing?

Most of the shorter cooks are strictly done on time, Noah has some time suggestions on the PBC site!!!!

Hey Sparky, ya gotta agree that:   It's so neat to hang your meat!!!!

You're making a believer out of me with your PBC.  My wife has convinced me to bring the Weber Kettle back out of hibernation and "find a place to store it in the garage" so it can be used again.  Yes, Dear!!

I understand Tee is getting one.  I will take a first hand look at it and see what this PBC is all about.  And maybe get to taste another of Tee's cooks.

How long did they cook?

about 1 1/2 hours.  my times for cooks are shorter than noah states on his site.  i'm only at 25ft above sea level here.  maybe i just got quick cooking chickens.   ;)
