Hunt Camp Cook

Sat A.M. Fired up the grill to smoke a small wild hog , a Boston butt, & added a few hole chickens after lunch.
Used Kingsford & oak to start & mainly oak throughout the cook.
Ran out of rub , & since the nearest grocery is 35 min away made do with a mix of seasoning salt, tony"s & black pepper.
Lots of pics at the start , but about an hour after we started the bottom fell out , no one went hunting, the whiskey came out .
A good time was had by all , but the photographer forgot to get any more pics :o

The deer wasn't shot on our property , a friend came by our camp to clean it because we have a great cleaning set-up.
The food was good , butt & birds perfect, the hog was a little overcooked.

i like the location.  it looks very peaceful and quiet there.  my type of place.  me and the wife went fishing up at a lake in the tahoe national forest and now looking at buying a place up there in the woods around the lake.

Looks like my kind of hunting camp LA. I would be one of the ones who showed up, cooked, ate, drank a few beers and never made it into the woods.
