Sideburner Sizzling Blackened Tilapia

That sideburner on the Weber got a workout yesterday.  Fried up some sausage patties in the morning and then some blackened Tilapia for supper.  Served with blackeyed peas and steamed cabbage.

Served sizzling hot on the table

A bit late to the party (been out of town) but wanted to add...

The cook looks great but please remember, tilapia (not unlike tofu) IS NOT food! Jus' sayin'...

Not trying to rain on anyone's parade, especially yours, Bob.  My mom, loves a simple baked tilapia.  But, after watching Dirty Jobs:

It's like the only fish that my picky sister will eat, so you know I'm not showing her this . . . I would jump on a plate of the bass that were in that tank a couple of hours ago ! ! !

I buy my tilapia at COSTCO.  It is a special for them and grown in a special farmed tank with special food - not poop.  They had a special article on their farming, feeding, and marketing.  Looked good to me and I love their tilapia panko coated, seasoned, fried in OO, butter and lemon juice.  Your blackened tilapia looks good.

Surprised to see a post from last year brought back to life over the feeding habits of tilapia.  LOL
Probably a few shrimp eaters out there (and hogs no doubt!, ever been on a farm?), having a problem with a "viral" video.

I have to admit before buying tilapia from Costco I really didn't care for it.  Always a watery soupy fish.  The Costco tilapia is more "meaty", thicker filets, that take on the flavor of whatever you season them with.

I'll judge what I like as opposed to buying into whatever the misinformaton network has to offer.

BTW, the world will end in 12 years anyway....... ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

... Costco tilapia ... filets ... take on the flavor of whatever you season them with.

I have no idea how this thread popped up on my screen at this late date, but, having seen it again, I feel obligated to point out that bamabob's comment is exactly what people say to justify eating chunks of TTT (totally tasteless tofu) - yet another reason to exclude both substances from the definition of "food."

Jus' sayin'...
