BBQ Road Show
« Reply #-1 on: May 20, 2013, 08:36:25 AM »

This isn't what we normally do, but we couldn't say no to Hal's wife.      Ribs/chicken/pulled pork/beans/slaw for 50 choir members.   And since we were going to just be standing around there, we brought Blue October over and filled it full of butts.

Line 'em up!

Got the ribs on first for some low and slow, then hit with our glaze.

While they were getting happy, we loaded up 58 pork butts.  (my shoulders still hurt)

Some yard bird.

Rib bones, glazed again.

Pit beans getting happy.

No pictures of the spread inside, as we couldn't get in the door. (and we were covered in filth)    But it was a hit.

Many many many hours later...

We ended up with about 30 of these 5 pound pans.

And a whole big pile of these 1.5 pounders.   Grab and go BBQ!

Now we have quite a mess to clean up...    :o :o

Really nice!!!  That is a serious load of pulled pork.  The ribs looked like Spark's ribs and the chicken is making me drool right now.

Way too much like work for this fat old retired guy.  What would have been fun would have been displaying my one area of unparalleled expertise - helping them dispose of product.
