My New Backyard Smoker and Charcoal Grill
« Reply #-1 on: August 05, 2013, 09:08:04 PM »
Here's a picture of my backyard with my two Yoder Smokers.

And, here's a picture of my new Yoder Smoker which is both a wood smoker and a charcoal grill. This is the perfect size for having 7 or 8 good friends over for dinner.

Do you think that I would have any difficulty getting it into the back yard?

JUST KIDDING! NOW, that is the Ultimate Smoking and Grilling Machine. I think that you have to hire two or three guys to keep feeding it logs all day if you wanted to grill a hot dog.

If I hit the Power Ball, that one is a sure thing.

Ed

I met one of the foreman out at Yoders the other day. We both are pretty sure is the one who built my 1320. I was invited out to the plant to watch them build some new 1500's, get my 1320 checked out and make sure all the programs are the latest, etc. Can't wait to take advantage and see them being made personally. Maybe I will come home with a trailer attached to the back!

Yoder 1320, 3- VUDS's and a couple of Wally World  grills. Working on more all the time.

Ed I think that thing would take a old Redwood tree just to get her up to 225F!

Each counter weight on there must weigh as much as a smart car! :o

Gotta admit you had me going on that one, Ed.

With your recent surge in enthusiasm for outdoor cooking, I really could see it in your backyard.

I think the green color has left my face now...

Awesome setup Ed.

P.S. I was referring to your real setup.  If you actually had the big pit, I would have already made plans to drive down there and help you season it.  :D

If I really had that thing, I'd have to put you up in the guest bedroom for quite a long stay. I think that it would take me 6 months to season that thing and at least 100 gallons of peanut oil.  ;D :D ;D :)

Well, see, this is the plan. I am going to open a BBQ Business just off of I35 called Bikini BBQ and it's all going to be womaned by young gorgeous bikini clad young women selling pork butt sandwiches, ribs, and brisket dishes to cars passing by. With every serving, a view of cleavage will be available along with cans of soda and beer. I hope that I can find a place to have all the cars to park.

Tell me, do you think that this will work?

There's a drive-thru coffee bar here called "The Bikini Barrista".  It's about 3 blocks from the office.  When they first opened I thought I'd just drive thru and pick up some coffee for me and my secretary.  Well, the poor young lady inside was pretty cold in her little - real little outfit.  And when she leaned out the window to hand me the coffee...well, my face got real hot real fast.
The coffee was just average, so I never went back.
