Wings on the Red
« Reply #-1 on: August 22, 2013, 04:17:02 PM »
I’ve been encouraged by a couple of wing posts the last couple of weeks, and I love wings. I do wings on the Red and also like them in the TBE but this cook was done on the grill a couple of days ago. I’ve been busy painting rooms so today you get to reminisce with me.

So here we go….

Whole wings to start with and then cut to wing parts.

Spiced up and cut up.

On the grill getting done….

Almost done…ready for some Franks wings sauce and some Franks hot

Back on the grill to get’er don’er.

Complete and ready to eat.

My starter plate

My wife’s plate about half way in, not sure if she like them
Love to cook and eat

Grilled wings or smoked wings have much more character than a standard fried wing ... great job, RAD.   :)

Do you ever use a burger or wing basket to do your wings on the RED? I some times use one instead of just putting them on individually. Makes it a little easier to turn them since you are turning them all at once. I also do them individually like you as well.

Now that I have Grill Grates on my RED, the basket is most likely not going to fit and be able to shut the lid.

Still my all time favorite wing sauce is a 50-50 mixture of butter and Crystal sauce.

Never used the basket. If you look on the back of the franks it's real close to your crystal mixture. Give the franks wing sauce a try and let me know what you think. I like it with a little more heat so I add extra
