Welcome Home (Wife) Cook
« Reply #-1 on: October 01, 2013, 03:45:36 PM »
My wife was out if town for a few days visiting her mother, and I needed a way to break in the news (on the way home from the airport) that there was a new (used) 22.5" Weber OTG sitting on the patio.  After I told her and got the stink eye, I suggested that we stop at the store and grab some burgers to throw on it for a late lunch.  She actually bit.  I guess I missed having a kettle around a little bit more than I realized.  A small load of charcoal (about 25 coals ) fired up in the chimney starter and less than a 1/2 hour cook time and we were eating lunch (made 10 burgers, 2 with cheese).  Sorry that it consisted of unicorn meat, but I wasn't going to push my luck by taking pictures of the food.  For those of you scoring at home, YES she did catch on to the fact that my new custom stick burner is supposed to eliminate the need for a standalone grill.  At least I have  a couple of weeks to ignore that.

Once you get the stink eye, you have to watch your P's and Q's, so no pictures is understood.
