Day off cook
« Reply #-1 on: March 26, 2012, 04:59:12 PM »
Got a day off yesterday without rain. With my promotion to Department Manager at work I have been working some really long and strange hours.

Picked up a couple of nice CBA T-bone/Porterhouse steaks at Sam's......a little EVOO and T's Steak Savor and they were ready for my grill.

Just pulled and resting

Plated with some mashed taters and broccoli and cheese sauce

Tonight is some pork loin chops for the whole loin I picked up at Sam's too.

Ron: I now make all of the rubs so that they are not "dusty"... How did the Steak Savor taste? Anything you would change?

Tee....it was very good, I might add a little white pepper to it for a higher kick....next time I will add a little garlic powder as both of us love garlic.....but you need not add it to your Steak Savor as I like it as Pam does. More than most people.
I just placed an order for some BBQ Savor and Mo Rocking Chicken as I am out of both and got some ribs and chicken to cook soon

Thanks for the input Ron (and the order!)

Just like to let everyone know that I want to hear from users of these products. ANd that means any input is welcome: ESPECIALLY what you did not like - if that is the case. It is how we continue to research what products to make or change for the future.

BTW - I am working on SEVERAL new flavors of Bacon Rub..... ;) ;D

T, I would like to try the dustless rubs.  Even though I like the baked bacon made your way, when just frying a few slices, I still put the bacon seasoning on the meat.  Kicks it up another notch.  Diane coming bck tonight around 11 with the new Russian Blue.....

Sure thing Phil!

It took me while to figure out how to do it without affecting taste or aroma - and without adding anything artificial. It really makes al of the rubs more pleasant to use.
