Use my trusty CB940X for EVERTHING. Lucky enough to have the old SMK attachment for smoking--it will hold 225 to 250 for a good eight hours. Have never tried longer than that, but bet would go much longer with addition of more charcoal. Fill the attachment with UNLIT coals, put about eight or ten lighted ones on top, add smoke wood chunks and off we go. Do have to add wood chunks about every hour for first four or five hours--try to get meat to 160 before not adding more smoking chunks. Those old cast iron grates hold the heat so well, as well as the heavy steel construction. Have rotisserie attachment (20# capacity motor) to do turkey, chickens, rolled roasts, whatever we can get to stay on the rod. Also have a four burner gasser and an SRG, but keep going back to the good ole 940X. Can't say enough good things about it.
