Capt Jack:  What temperature do you set your oven roaster on?  They said to use High when using a slow cooker.

Always leave it on high. The Dorkfood DSV will act as the thermostat and pulse the power to the element so no need to leave it anywhere but in high.

Muebe:  Thanks for the input, but the roaster oven that I am buying has a temperature selector from 150 to 450 degrees.  Would you set it at 450?  Capt Jack has the answer hopefully as he has one of these roasters.

Yes leave it at 450. The thermostat is not needed. The DSV is the thermostat.

when I found these long - short ribs in the butcher's case I was thrilled
I started pointing to the ones I wanted
then he asked me if I wanted them cut in half
I was aghast  ???
