New to the forum and just got my Pbc. My only other smoking experience is on a pellet grill. Day after Pbc arrived did a whole chicken and 1 slab of ribs. Chicken was probably the best I have ever had. Ribs weren't bad but I think I can do better. Maybe close bottom vent a little more? So far really happy with it.

My experience with my PBC has been the same, chicken in the PBC was one of the best I've ever done. Ribs turned out okay, cooked a little faster than what I was expecting, haven't tried ribs again in the PBC because I've been using my reliable pellet grill for them. I need to give ribs in the PBC another shot and I'm thinking that closing the vent a little more may help.

Welcome from So Cal. Your bottom vent is to be adjusted to the elevation where you are doing your cooking. Please contact Noah or Amber before making adjustments to that vent. Just my 2 cents............
