What are you cooking this Labor Day weekend?
-
This weekend will be, in no particular order.....
Flattened chicken breasts on the Blackstone flat top.
Pizza in the Blackstone oven.
Chicken wings in the SRG.
Something else as yet undetermined

Like I start the summer...Burgers & Dogs with Swiss Cheese...& baked beans
-
I've got a pork shoulder going in the barrel on Saturday. Not sure what else may happen...

Wish I had a menu, but this weekend Kimmie and I will celebrate our 30th anniversary so we will be eating out as it were for a few days ;) ;) ;)
I do however have a pot of red sauce going on the stove Saturday for meals during the month

The brother in law ask for pulled pork so I'm going to pick it up after work today. I think I"ll roll it on the Weber Kettle. Corn is really cheap right now and the farm market just got a load of baby okra so I feel like those will be the sides.

Congratulations to you and Kimmie for 30 years. That is awesome. Have a great celebration.

This is a "back to work" weekend for me after the storm in Houston so I won't be able to enjoy the holiday by cooking anything. Howsomever (Jaxon's favorite word), I'll be in South Bend, Indiana on Sat. for a little football and then in Boston on Sun. and Mon. for a little golf. My company always feeds us especially well on holiday weekends so I'm looking forward to the great food. I still remember last summer in Rio where our main caterer was Fogo de Chao, a Brazilian steak house. I gorged myself on nothing but picanha and rib eye for 3 solid weeks. Good times. Everybody have a great weekend.
