Started with a chat with Noah to discuss my first cook. He was quite helpful in establishing potential issues I may have run it to and tips on future use.
Nice tip

Just realized there's not enough meat on this Sammy. No worries, I'd already had multiple browsing bites.

Real nice Jabby! I'll take one of those sammiches. :P
-
I'm in line for one of them Poke sliders, Nice job!!
-
I sure hope that sammie is not for me........cause I need way more of that most excellent pork piled high on mine :)
-
Pulled Pork has become one of the most versatile meats in our home with left overs being used for all sorts of dishes including burritos, with eggs, nachos, and beans.
Nice job. Enjoy!

I'm glad you talked to Noah. Your results look excellent!
-
Pow! Nice looking poke.
-
I love it when the pork pulls like that. Looks great
-
Nice job on that shoulder ;)
How long did it take?
-
6 hours. Just over 3 to get to 160, just under 3 wrapped to get to 195.
3 meals down, at least 2 more to go.
-
Nice work Jabby.
-
Very nice! You are definitely getting the hang ;) of that PBC. Keep the cooks coming.

Did you have to re-load with charcoal during the 6 hours?
-
Nice looking plate. On mine please add a little more pork.

Tee I get 8+ hours on one tray of charcoal.

Nope one batch of coals at the start. All I did was monitor temps once it got rolling to know when to wrap it.
-
Way to go, jabby -- looks like nice, moist pig meat if I ever saw any ;D
I haven't done a butt in a long time and I've never done a long cook in my PBC so I think I'll use this post as an excuse to give it a go.

Same here Hub! - And thanks muebe - that was what I was looking for. I have only cooked chicken halves in my PNC - and really want to try something else. Noah swears that the prime rib roast is the best thing he does in his PBC....Gonna try it soon.
