Finally got a chance to make a couple of batches of Chex Mix to take to Paducah for BBQ on the River in September.
Here it is in the 4 rack in the middle of a 2 hour Pecan smoke

All bagged up for and waiting for Paducah, can't wait to get up there and catch up with old friends and new ones as well.

That looks good!! I haven't made any Chex Mix in a while. I'll probably make some later this fall for our Christmas party.

I may have to make a couple more batches, SWMBO says she wants some to eat before we travel. ;D
That looks good!! I haven't made any Chex Mix in a while. I'll probably make some later this fall for our Christmas party.

This one's real good with everything doubled up and a few add ins like pecans and multi grain cheerios. We've also made it with Jan's Rub and other spices from time to time.

I love Chex mix, but I normally can't eat it because folks put sesame sticks in it. I don't see any in yours at first glance. :)

That's one of the reasons I looked up the original recipe and started making my own, I didn't like the rye chips or the little sticks in the store bought. So you're right no sesame sticks in mine. I'll post the recipe in a separate post so others can try it and modify it to make it there own.

It was definitely all gone by Saturday afternoon along with the jerky rounds I brought and the sausages that Rick(NePas) brought.

In fairness of full disclosure one of the bags might have made it back to my hotel room Friday night and didn't see the light of day until it got to my house on Sunday. ::)
