Donnas's Company Potatoes
I usually use a 6 qt. Nesco cooker for these. I like the thermostat control on this cooker. these can be doubled and tripled if you need to.
5 lb. bag of potatoes. I use the thin skin red ones. Boil them till done. I boil them the day before and let sit overnite.
large onion chopped
The good stuff:
Melt 2 sticks of butter, the real thing.
16 oz. sour cream
2 cans of Cream of Mushroom, celery or chicken soup or make your own soup. I make my own.
Mix this all together on the stove and warm till melted together.
Peel potatoes if you wish, I don't, then slice them up and layer in pan..then salt & pepper and add a layer of onions. I also add shredded sharp cheddar cheese too. Repeat until pan is full. Not too full tho.
Pour mix over top and let it warm. It will melt thru all by itself. The potatoes are already done and all it has to do is warm thru. Oven 350º about an hour, or grill until hot. Donna used crushed corn flakes for the crunchy stuff on top. Those dried onions would be good here too or potato strings.
I do mine different. I add a layer of shredded sharp cheddar cheese with the onion layer.
While the potatoes are rewarming and almost done, lastly, I add another layer of sharp shredded cheddar cheese to melt on top. I stir it before I add this to help spread all the goodness together. Don't worry about the sliced potatoes being even either. I usually slice and chunk them because I like them that way and they get mushy if you slice them too thin. and guys like chunky potatoes.  Enjoy.

On Sat. moring I also made maple glazed bacon donuts. I took regular flaky buttermilk canned biscuits and stuck my thumb thru them to make the holes.  Next I fried them in oil in a cast iron skillet for about a minute and a half. I made a maple glaze from xxx sugar and pure maple syrup and a lil vanilla. Then I dipped the donuts in the glaze and covered them with bacon with a lil help from Lost Arrow loves Lucy. Thanx John. I have Donna's Red green grape dessert recipe- very easy to make
1lb. Green grape seedless halved
1lb, red grapes seedless halved
Combine
8oz sour cream
8 oz softened cream cheese until fluffy
Fold Ingrdients  with rest of mixture
Add 1/2 cup pecans chopped - I roast them in a lil skillet for a few minutes till they smell good. Pam
Put in 9 x 13 dish
Topping
3 regular size butterfinger candy bars chopped
Sprinkle on top and refrigerate until cold
Enjoy.
