Try putting some text first in the post before the photos. Not sure if that's it, just a guess.

Actually there was so I don't think that was the problem.

Well lets try this again :)
Found out I am not crazy about fried pickles but they sure looked good on the recipe I followed.
1 teaspoon of salt and pepper
2 pickles
-------------------------------------------
RANCH DRESSING
1 cup of mayo
1/2 cup of sour cream
1/4 cup of chopped parsley
1 tablespoon of chopped chives
1 tablespoon of onion powder
1 tablespoon of chopped dill
Wooden skewers or chop sticks
-------------------------------------------
Step 1
Combine the flour, baking powder, paprika, salt and pepper in a bowl. In a separate bowl, combine the butter milk and egg. Mix the 2 together to make a batter.
Step 2
Cut off one end of the pickle. Stick the skewer or chop stick inside but not fully through. Using a knife on an angle, cut the pickle creating a spiral.
Step 3
Coat the pickle in the wet batter. Add the coated pickle to the crushed Doritos and coat it completely.
Step 4
Fry the pickle till they are nice and crispy.
-------------------------------------------
RANCH DRESSING
Step 5
Combine the sour cream, mayo, parsley, dill chives, and onion powder in a bowl. Combine with a whisk.
Step 6
Cover the pickles in the ranch dressing and garnish with chives.

well they sure look good.
I kinda like fried pickles, usually find them to be too salty.
-
Never tried a whole fried pickle. I've only had/made the slices.

That was the other thing I found did not work, maybe I did something wrong but the pickle was suppose to be cut into a spiral. It never seemed to separate enough to get a good coating into the groves\spiral.
