Title: Placement of A-Mazen tube in 22 inch Weber Kettle
Post by: Pappymn on August 17, 2013, 04:54:17 PM
I will using my new 6 inch tube today in my kettle with some Milt pellets. Cooking indirect with the coals on one side. Where is the best location to place the tube?

Top rack? Bottom rack? Over heat? Away from heat?

Bottom rack..........away from the heat..............close to the air vents....not directly under the meat.............sounds good to me  ;)

Question: why can't you throw the pellets on top of the coals just like people do with chunks of cherry or apple wood?

Those pellets will burn up in no time on top of charcoal. Kinda like tossing em in the trash......
