I still have two jars of those smoked pickled eggs I did before the KOA get-together.. My son will be getting them for Christmas. My daughter-in-law will probably not like me for a while.

Rick if you eat those you better put the top down on the Miata on the way home ???
-
Oh those definitely are going to be good!

Little salt, little pepper BAM that jar would be gone ;D

I have been using Nepa's mix for Pickled Eggs and Sausage for a few years now. The wife just calls it "Bad Thunder".

Here is a link to the post that I made previously on smoked pickled eggs. http://www.letstalkbbq.com/index.php?topic=118.msg542#msg542
Rick is most likely using Lumpy's recipe, which I used. It is really good.

I did our first pickled eggs a couple of months ago... and I'm not at all ashamed to say I was HUGELY relieved that James didn't much care for the them! (A texture thing, I guess.) The jalapeno pickle aftermath was enough to curl a few nose hairs, so this one had me a little nervous.
Although after looking through the cold smoked eggs... I might have to take a deep breath and try again, because those sound awesome!
