OK it is that time of year again. I will be holding my annual Smoke Out Gathering in Cascade, Iowa. This year it will be held on Aug 9th. If you would like to be in attendance let me know and I can give you the directions. Sorry late posting this, I thought it was already posted.

I wish I could make it and try some of your world famous sausages. Unfortunately, money is super tight this year and we'll be in the middle of Band Camp, so I am tied up.

I am puzzled by the lack of interest....DO you think this crowd knows that east year EVERYONE that attended was gifted with a FREE Bradley mini-smoker???

AND...that Iowa is having record COOL temperatures for this summer!  Man - I am frustrated that I can't go.

It is a great time and another great group of people to meet, one couple is coming 1500 miles on a motorcycle from Canada and we're leaving Wednesday to head up there.

Well not everyone can afford a special trip outside of the family holiday obligations, things are pretty tough for some folks. Many have cut back on special events because job lose and gas prices. So this does not surprise me at all.

I would agree Don. However there are numerous folks from the Midwest and Western area's that are unable to make it to the Great Gathering in GA. Therefore I opened my home and dinner table to them to join friends and family for a BBQ dinner. Many in attendance are members of both the Bradley forum and this forum. So they would still be meeting forum friends.

This is one of the BEST smoke outs out there.  I can't make it cause of my son's wedding and family issues, but I will do everything I can to make it next year.  12 hrs is a long time to ride in a car but it's worth it if I can swing it

I went to first smoke out last year, Tenpoint 5 and his family are wonderful hosts.  Had a wonderful time, Great food and met a lot of great people.  Really wanted to return this year, but health issues interfered.  If at all possible make the trip.
